外语系下设机构：四个教研室，大学英语教研室、英语专业教研室、商务英语教研室和文化传播教研室；三个教辅机构：语言教学实验中心、语言与文化研究中心、外语交流中心。
外语系师资队伍：教师 65 人，外教 2 人，行政与教辅人员 5 人，其中教授 1 人、副教授 7 人、讲师 43 人。教 师中 博士 2 人，硕士 37 人。
外语系科研成果：截至目前，外语系 教师 在国内外学术刊物上发表论文 150 余篇，出版专著、译著 28 部 ，承担各级 科研、教改立项 30 余项，其中 北京市科研项目《物流专业术语英汉规范化翻译研究》和《物流专业英语语料库的研究与建设》填补了国内研究的空白。

The Foreign Language Department was set up in 1996, offering three-year courses in English for Business and Trade. In 2001, the four-year undergraduate courses in English for Business and Trade are opened. The major in English for Foreign-oriented Secretary began its enrollment in 2007. At present, the total number of students in FLD is 405.
Tasks and objectives: the cultivation of talents with business English proficiency; the teaching of College English for all the students on campus; the courses in other foreign languages and in humanistic quality for all the students on campus.
Sections and centres: Section of College English; Section of English Major; Section of Business English; Section of Cultural Communication; Language Teaching Laboratory Centre; Centre of Language and Culture Studies; Centre of Foreign Communication.
Faculties: At present, the FLD has 65 teachers, plus 2 foreign ones and 5 administrative and supporting staff members. Among all the teachers, there are 1 professor, 7 associate professors and 43 lecturers. Two teachers are with doctor's degree and 37 with master's degree.
The prize and award: The Excellent Teaching Unit of the University in 2005, The First Group Prize for Teaching Skill Contest for Young Faculty in 2006.
Research achievements: Up to now, the teachers in FLD have got altogether 150 academic papers published. Books written or translated by them add up to 28. More than 30 projects either of research or teaching reform at different levels have been carried out. Among them, “The Study on the Standardized Translation of English-Chinese Logistics Terminology” and “The Research and Construction of Logistics English Corpus” are the first of its kind in the country.
